Catching Up...

The Honeymoon! Sea World and Disneyland!

This was my very first time at Disneyland and I was soooooo excited!! We got welcomes and congratulations all day from the First time and Honeymoon buttons we were wearing, proving that Disneyland is the happiest place on earth!

Andrew always teases me about how I have all of these traditions. Well here is proof that Andrew has them too. He always has to have the frozen strawberry lemonade and the churros from Disneyland and I am 100% ok with it!

Look who we saw!!!!

"F" for Firkins!

It just happened that we were at Disneyland the same time Andrew's family was there for Jon's last big hurrah before his mission. They were purposefully avoiding us, but we did happen to run into them on our way to California Screamin' (This is Ava. My cute cute niece (at 6 months old).

After we ran into his family we ended up going to the Aladdin show with them and I went on the Tower of Terror with Uncle Bill, Adam, and Jon. Just a little scary!

Here are some shots from the rides we went on! So fun!

We loved being at Disneyland together! Plus I got the best tour guide ever!

This was our awesome rental car...It was an upgrade. Andrew was so excited about it....He felt so manly :-)

Sea World!!

Careful, I bite.

The Big Day!

January 9, 2010.
This was the craziest, but most wonderful day of my life. I was marrying the man of my dreams. One of the hardest working, honest, kind, loving, thoughtful, considerate, full of service, funny, athletic, not to mention hansom…est man I knew. We were sealed in the Boise Idaho Temple for time and all eternity and I wouldn't want it any other way.

This is our wedding slideshow my sister Heather made for us. Thanks Heather!!

The Engagement Story!

October 25, 2009.
It was a chilly Sunday evening, we were downstairs in our favorite spot watching TV with his roommates. He said "he needed to use the bathroom" and I knew what that meant... He was going to be in there for a while. While he was in the bathroom Greg Young one of his roommates came downstairs and said that he needed the guys to help his sister out that lived down the street because she had some heavy appliances that needed to be moved. So all the guys left with Greg. Shortly after that Andrew came out and we continued to watch TV. He said he wanted to go on a walk. I thought that was weird cause we had already gone on a walk that day, I agreed but I knew something was up. I had to borrow some of his clothes because I still had my skirt on from Church earlier that day. So I put on his HUMONGOUS sweatshirt, really big pajama pants, and a pair of his white socks with my flats. Needless to say my outfit was less than stunning. While we were walking he said he wanted to go the longer way. Come to find out Greg, Adam, Jon, and a couple of the other roommates were setting up the proposal thats why he wanted to go the long way to make sure it was all set up before we got there. By then I had figured out he was going to propose to me, but I just didn't know how. A ways into the walk we were going past the playground and I wasn't even paying attention I was just looking around when Andrew said in a completely rehearsed unnatural tone "Oh, look over there. What is that??" I looked over and on the upper level across the bridge of the jungle gym was a light with a blanket laid out with a dozen roses in a vase with one out on the blanket with the ring inside. After some lovey dovey words he asked me to marry him and obviously I said yes. That made me the luckiest girl in the world! After some kisses Andrew pointed out Greg's car that was sitting in the parking lot so we decided to go over. When we got there we tried to open the doors and look in the side windows but no response. Finally I looked into the front windshield and there was a bright camera flash followed by a bunch of Men piling out of the car with cheering that you would normally hear at a BSU football game during the biggest game of the season. It was a great way to make the proposal perfect!

Sledding a week before we got married...Lets just say I was REALLY careful. I didn't want any broken bones for the wedding.

Just the Beginning...

July 25, 2009.
I was invited to "hang out" with Paul and Kristi Root and their friend Andrew Firkins (I'd never met him before, but Andrew knew exactly who I was...Stalker, jk). Little did I know Andrew had this grand plan even before we met. We "hung out" that whole week playing games, swimming and what not. One of the nights we had gone swimming with everyone and had a bonfire afterwards. We sat around the fire telling ghost stories among other things. Eventually everyone left until it was just Andrew and I. We stayed up talking until 3:30 in the morning! When he was walking me out to my car I was thinking I REALLY want him to ask me on a date. Just my luck! He did!
August 1, 2009.
Andrew came and picked me up at my parents house to go on our date. That was the first time that I met his first love, Molly. Yep thats right, Molly the Mazda. I thought that was the weirdest but funniest thing ever! Who names their car?? Well shortly after that Andrew gave my car a name, Max the Maxima. Max and Molly. Sounds like it was meant to be. Anyway, we first went to Wahooz fun center and played a little laser tag. Unfortunately we were on the same team so he didn't get to see my competitive side...I'll admit it, and he will too that it was kind of the lame part of the date. But don't worry it gets better. We went to Olive Garden which is one of my FAVORITE restaurants. Mmmmmmm! After that we went to Ann Morrison park. It was the most simple part of our date but the best part to me. We sat on a blanket under one of the big trees in the park, played card games and talked for hours. While on the date I noticed so many things that set him apart from the other people I had gone on dates with. He was kind, funny, easy to talk to, and not to mention a complete gentleman. Eventually the date had to end. He walked me to my door and we may have had our first kiss...Then is walked away and choked on a bug.
